You could add an optional feature that automatically puts a visible watermark on the large pics in the album and thus saves folks like me from doing it one at a time, a real pain for big albums.

Hello

I hope someone can help me as I am struggling! I am trying to upload some photos using WAG but the instructions I can find are for Windows XP and since my XP laptop died I've got a new one running Windows 7.

I cannot find "My Network Places" therefore I cannot continue with the steps to "Add a Network Place" etc

Please can someone give me Windows 7 instructions?

Citrus keeps giving me this error (the media file took to long to load/play, something along these lines) after it goes off but it still does everything fine. I'm thinking perhaps it takes to long to wake my computer up from standby and then access my music which is on an external drive but should I be worried?

A feature to link a 'Going to sleep' playlist to an alarm clock.
The 'Going to sleep' playlist will play according to it's settings until the alarm it's linked to starts to turn on.

Options for fading in and out.
A 'going to sleep' playlist does not *need* to be linked to an alarm, in which case it goes until either a set amount of time, or a set time.
Options for volume of 'going to sleep' playlist and linked alarms.

what do you think? It would be very useful for me (which by the way, I'm a registered user)

Maybe you could call the feature 'chamomile' after the tea that helps you go to sleep. Ornj chamomile, mmmmmm :d

Hi Bill,

You can control the width of the table via the stylesheet template, but the minimum width will always be determined by the thumbnail size. Choosing fewer thumbnails per row may help if you find it's too large.

Otherwise, you can change the width with something like this (untested, but it should work):

#index {
 width: 1024px;
}

I created my first WAG album but here is my problem. I inserted the generated files into an existing website. I prefer to have all my web site pages a fixed pixel size rather than use a percentage. The website I want to put the WAG Album into is set up as tables with fixed page sizes of 1020 pixels. With WAG the album fills the entire screen (probably using percentage) and I see no way to modify it. I suppose what I am asking, is there a way to chnage the page layout of the generated pages? I hope I am describing this properly. Is there anything you can suggest?

I just downloaded Web Album Generator and am testing it. I am a novice web builder and do this mostly as a hobby so I am not an expert by any means. I previously used MS Frontpage but am now using (and trying to better understand) Expression Web 3.

Thanks,
Bill

It sounds like the server isn't responding to every image request. It's possible that the server is overloaded. If you're using shared hosting, this is possible even if your site doesn't seem to get enough traffic to make a server struggle. If there was a temporary traffic surge, then the issue should resolve itself pretty quickly. If this is a persistent problem (lasting for more than just a few days), then you should probably speak with your web hosting provider.

When I first bring up my web album site, a random few of the thumbnails do not display. Instead of a thumbnail, there is a link to it (the thumbnail name) in its place. Once I click to a picture and return to the index, however, everything is fine. I have a fast broadband connection, so it's not that. Has anyone else had this problem - and found a way around it? This program is the simplest, fastest one I've found. It would be near-perfect except for this one small nit.

It sounds like your music files aren't associated with a player. Do music files play when you double-click them? If not, open the media player of your choice and see if there's an option to associate file types with it. Once these file types are registered with Windows, Citrus will know which media player to launch.

Actually, starting with 2.3, Windows Media Player is a system requirement for Citrus Alarm Clock, as it uses the same media API. (It doesn't actually launch Windows Media Player, but needs the underlying media API to play the music. It's just the best way to keep up with all the popular media formats and ensure compatibility.)

I've never had Windows Media Player installed on my computer at the same time as Citrus, I always uninstall it when I reformat my computer. Instead, I use Media Player classic. Using this setup, I've never had any issues, especially with Citrus. All files in MPC work fine, and I've rebooted many times with no noticeable effect. I've tried uninstalling ad reinstalling Citrus, again to no effect. Perhaps I'm not doing a complete enough uninstallation process? What would I need to do to make sure I've removed all traces of Citrus before I reinstall it? Maybe this will have a good effect.

Additionally, I didn't mention, I am using Windows 7 64-bit.

Thanks for the report. Since it was working earlier, is there anything that has changed in your system, particularly your Windows Media Player installation? Does rebooting have any effect? Since it appears that Citrus even has trouble launching your external media player (which is unusual), can you open and play files in Windows Media Player normally, or does that give you errors too?

I'll do my best to look into the issue on my side here, too. <img src="http://support.ornj.net/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":)" class="bb_smilies" />

Hi, I've been using Citrus for a while now on Windows 7 and got the 2.3 update when it came out. A while back, Citrus stopped playing any type of music file, the same ones it used to play flawlessly. Now, any time it tries to load any music file of any type, it simply uses the emergency "chime" and a bubble pops up from my task bar reading "object reference not set to an instance of an object". I've never had this issue before, but I should clarify that I used v2.3 for a while before it showed up. This error even occurs if I try to play the media file using an external player. I'd love to use Citrus again! Please help me solve this issue. Thanks.

Yeah, I'd really like an option to have the filenames appear with the photo as well. (i'm using to grab a hundred pics+ off a camera to let friends decide which they want, a filename would be a perfect way to reference a photo!)

Great easy to use program, thanks!

Quite impressed with your Web Album Generator. Any chance of a PHP version? I'd be happy to e-mail you the script that I want it to produce.
