This is to keep the filenames compatible with as many webservers and server-side scripts as possible, though I admit that very few setups require these precautions nowadays.</p> <p>Since compatability issues are becoming more and more rare with respect to filenames, a future version will almost certainly have an option to keep the original filenames.
