Somewhat of a solution seems to be:

Changing
<rule from="PHP" to="String2" style="strings">\'</rule>
to
<rule from="PHP" to="String2" style="strings">[^\\]\'</rule>

However, the \\ shows up in blue, but that's nothing compared to what it could have done before.

EDIT: Mhmm, adds some other ill effects too
i.e $CPG_SESS['theme'] is all same coloured.

Well, discovered the first bug in a while. If text is highlighted and you use the tab to indent all the selected text, Araneae "forgets" the tab preference (ex. indent 3 spaces) and instead only indents 1 space.

I think this is something that should be fixed.

When you upload tons of photos, you get a lot of subpages as well.
Their numbres appear at the bottom of the table containing the pictures.
However, if there are too many numbers, the table will widen and its squares will start to look like rectangles...

It will look like this
http://webpages.cegs.itesm.mx/servicios/bibitinerante/OnlineGallery/2008%5FAgostoDiciembre/

Instead of looking like this
http://webpages.cegs.itesm.mx/servicios/bibitinerante/OnlineGallery/2009%5FEneroMayo/

Thanks for the reply. If I rename all my files to something like x1962johns_birthday_party.jpg , will the "1962" be preserved? And if yes, do you know of a program that can rename all my files in bulk (I have about 1,500 pictures!)?

Leading numbers are actually stripped off of the filenames on purpose. This is to keep the filenames compatible with as many webservers and server-side scripts as possible, though I admit that very few setups require these precautions nowadays.

Since compatability issues are becoming more and more rare with respect to filenames, a future version will almost certainly have an option to keep the original filenames. It's a popular request.

If you'd like to be notified of new versions via email, please feel free to sign up for the Web Album Generator Announcement List.

I have a family album in a folder on my PC. All the pictures start with the year and are in the format 1962johns_birthday_party.jpg

As WAG generates the album, it removes the first digits in the filename, which becomes johns_birthday_party.jpg

However the original filename is preserved in the title and alt attribute (since I don't bother creating separate titles and alt attributes).

Can this bug be fixed somehow?

When editing long lines of text, I insert the cursor in the middle of the line (somewhere in the middle of the screen) and start typing, but then the cursor (and text) moves to the right-hand edge of the screen.
This makes it very hard to see what I'm editing, especially if I'm trying to delete text after the cursor position.

Is this a known bug, and is there a work-around?

Everything seems ok when opening locally ("Open With" or "File>Open"), but when viewing source of an online site, the main document (XHTML) appears as a standard document without any formatting, but CSS and JS files appear correctly...

There's a options screen that associations file extensions (such as .css, .html) with specified document types. Are these set correctly for you?

Does this only happen with you use "Open with," as opposed to "File -> Open"? If so, and especially if your settings appear normal (that is, '.css' is set to the "CSS document" type), then this could be a bug. Let me know, and I'll definitely look into it. <img src="http://support.ornj.net/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":-)" class="bb_smilies" />

Not sure if this is just my setup, or a bug/feature of Araneae...
Often when I open a document to edit (either by 'Open With' in Windows or 'View Source' in IE), the document type at the bottom of the Araneae window shows something other than what the document is, and this affects the highlighting.

For example, I open my website locally (which is XHTML 1.0 Strict) and the highlighting is for HTML pages. Or CSS pages will appear as Standard documents with no highlighting.

Is this a bug, or just my setup?

Yeah, I understand that the user settings can be annoying for developers who are working on a highlighter. If you're comfortable in the registry, you can delete your overridden settings; Araneae shouldn't write them back unless you go into the options screen again.

Although I don't really want extensions to disallow user settings, I guess there can be some kind of "debug" mode that could specify these sort of options... I'll look into it. <img src="http://support.ornj.net/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":)" class="bb_smilies" />
