I cannot get past the "type a new address...." - error message says folder is not valid. I took the FTP domain address from my FTP program that works flawlessly. The website is: http://www.childrens-journey.com Our webhost is Gate.com They say in their Control Panel that the FTP domain is childrens-journey.com Why won't it accept this?

With that in mind it is also worth going the extra mile and make effort to categorize and name your photographs properly. Instead of DSC1345.jpg, try to give it more relevance (particularly if you are going for search engine optimization) such as product_red.jpg.

I use to create the link to take me to the album off my homepage? The 'album' contains a lot of files and I have tried referencing the index and the .alb file but neither works. My ftp site contains my homepage and the album photo. Ugh...this is frustrating!

Changing the navigation text is probably the most popular request, and it's definitely something that will be in the next version. Development is a little slow, since it's a weekend and spare time project, but stay tuned to the announcement list. <img src="http://support.ornj.net/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":)" class="bb_smilies" />

Hi Mark,

Still love your program and use a LOT.
Is there a way I can change the word "index" to "Home Page" on the navigational links bottom of photo enlargement page? Find it would be more user friendly after receiving a few emails about it. I can change it manually but time consuming!

Thanks.

OK - I've read past posts but I just am not able to figure out how to get my album on my website. What should be the name of the file that I use to create the link to take me to the album off my homepage? The 'album' contains a lot of files and I have tried referencing the index and the .alb file but neither works. My ftp site contains my homepage and the album photo. Ugh...this is frustrating!

All of this can differ from web host to web host, so your best bet may be to contact your hosting's technical support services. From what you'd told me, though, you'll very likely need to put your album into the htdocs folder---and once it's uploaded you would likely reach it by going to your site's normal address and appending your album name after it. For example, if your site was at http://www.example.com/ and your album name was WeddingPhotos, then your album's address might be http://www.example.com/WeddingPhotos/

Hope this helps!

I have a web site already and want to put a link on a page to the web album generated. Do I need to move my web album to the FTP site? Where to put it, under the folder htdocs? and How do I refer to it in a link?

Thanks.

When I created the album, I created it in a folder within an existing website. You should be able to open the site in FrontPage and link to the pages from within the folder that contains your album just like any other page. I uploaded the site I was working on via a 3rd party ftp program but it should publish just as easy from within frontpage.

I have created the slideshow, great that was easy and good result. Now for the frustrations in trying to access the album on my webpage, I have tried using the suggested method, but the web address to my web page wont get accepted in my network places.

I am also using frontpage 2000, is there any way I can put a link to the album on my index page so that it links to the album and opens it up?

If anyone could help I would really appreciate it. thank you
