Hello, was looking for somewhere to just email you, but I couldn't find it. I'm using your Web Album Generator, and so far it's working great. What I'm wanting to know is on my website I have a links page, and with your permission I would like to place a link to your site on there. Also I'm in the process of starting a podcast, and would like to make sure it's ok to mention your site and software in my podcast. Thank you for your time and great software.

I use to create the link to take me to the album off my homepage? The 'album' contains a lot of files and I have tried referencing the index and the .alb file but neither works. My ftp site contains my homepage and the album photo. Ugh...this is frustrating!

Just add a homepage link to your index page.

You can do this in the Album Generation Wizard on the third page by checking a "Include link back to home page" box and typing the URL of your homepage.

Changing the navigation text is probably the most popular request, and it's definitely something that will be in the next version. Development is a little slow, since it's a weekend and spare time project, but stay tuned to the announcement list.

Hi Mark,

Still love your program and use a LOT.
Is there a way I can change the word "index" to "Home Page" on the navigational links bottom of photo enlargement page? Find it would be more user friendly after receiving a few emails about it. I can change it manually but time consuming!

Thanks.

OK - I've read past posts but I just am not able to figure out how to get my album on my website. What should be the name of the file that I use to create the link to take me to the album off my homepage? The 'album' contains a lot of files and I have tried referencing the index and the .alb file but neither works. My ftp site contains my homepage and the album photo. Ugh...this is frustrating!

Hi Mark...I have to agree with everyone else here, the simplicity of it is the program is beautiful...I have been wsnting to use as way to do online casting for photo shoots...the one last thing I need to make happen is way to click on a person that then goes somewhere/cart(?) remains so that the client having the casting does not habe to andwrite the models name or info...is that what irishtom1932 is asking for above?...has this in the works?..thanks for your help...David

To what file (?) do i link, so when you click, the album is displayed ?

I would actually prefer to have the gallery embedded to my webpage, and I did; I found the code on one of these threads and it looks fabulous. I just made some changes to my site, one of them was to reduce the size of the photos. Now the entire photo is visible, but it's 640x480, not big enough for a wallpaper.

My guess is that I would have to manually link each photo to Photobucket (which is a pain because I have over 50 wallpapers), or simply provide the link to Photobucket where people would be able to download them. None of these are ideal, but the second one would probably have to do. 1 meg is right, but that's enough for me, since my wallpapers are 1024x768, and almost never over 250 megs.

What I was hoping for was clicking on a thumbnail, which would open up a picture, then clicking on that picture would open up a full-sized version that people could download, then hit the back button on their browser to go back to the gallery. Still, even now, the album is beautifully integrated into my gallery page, and the colors match perfectly. I included a link to the WAG home page, but I was wondering do you know if I could use the WAG logo next to it, for promotional purposes? I really like the program, and I'd like more people to hear about it. This way it gets free publicity!

All the best,
Aida

ETA that if you ever need a picture-friendly storage site, try http://www.esnips.com. They offer 5Gb storage space, and you can use it as either a true storage site, which can be private, semi-private (both password protected, but you can give the password to some people for the second option) or public. If you have pictures, they will be shown as thumbnails on its pages, but I don't know whether you can organize them into albums. You can share the pictures, or link to them from another site.

I did it by making a seperate folder on my web-server, saving the full image in it, and manually inserting a hotlink to the image from the displayed photo.

Photobucket will only allow a 1 meg file size, not big enough for a wall-paper. I guess for pay accounts it might be different, but not so on my free space. Most of the wall-paper photos I have uploaded were around 5 meg bitmaps.
