Hi,

I was very excited, to run across your "WAG" and for a moment I thought, that my prayers were heard.
After all, it's a wonderfully application, that easy to use (I've already created a sample file in no time)! So here's my problem -I've build a little web site (using expression web without prior experience in websites), that display "goods", with a number of thumbnail images under each item. Clearly, it's not the best way to do tings. In short, I would like "WAG" to enable me to upload each new album, so that it shows up under it's corresponding item (text frame). Can you explain to me the steps I need to take, if at all possible to reach my objective? I apologize for being a little wordy in addressing my predicament..Thanks - Dan

I am unable to upload, I tried using the ftp site and it tells me that I do not have access. If I try doing it the way you describe, but taking out the login annonamously, it just takes me to my folders. I am very confused.

When I upload to my web site my FTP Pro changes the capital letters in the title to small case and therefore they do not show up. I always avoid using capitals on the web for this reason. I've had to go in and change all the titles to small letters and upload again. Why doesn't this program change the titles into a useable format? Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a way around this other than putting all my titles in small case?

Other than this glitch I love the WAG.... it's just what I've been searching for. I use Dreamweaver to make my site and can open these pages in it to add a graphic title, or 'home' button that goes to my index start page. Here is a link to the page where my gallery pages start: http://www.mdweil.com/antartica-cruise-start-pg.html

I am trying to put several albums of pictures onto a specific page within a website. I have uploaded them per your instructions. On the page, I put the title of each album, and then linked each title to their respective albums. However, when I get into my browser and I click on the title, I get only a page of code with no pictures. Am I linking correctly, or am I doing something else wrong?

Need help uploading my WAG albums to my site. Using the tutorial on WAG to FTP albums, I get as far as drag and dropping my album folders onto my FTP page then that's it. When I try to view them, all I see is a white page with white boxes where the photos should be showing the photo name.jpg extention. Even though my folders are on my desktop, where should they be in relation to my website? I can't search for my album on the web using the example http://www.example.com/username/album name/ because the albums are not connected to my site. Perhaps this is the problem? Any step-by-step advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Robin

FTP Upload Instructions
(How to put your album on the web)

If you're using Windows XP, putting your album on the web can be done without installing extra software, such as "FTP" programs. You can follow the steps below, or view an animated tutorial which shows you what to do step-by-step. If you are not using Windows XP, there are some textual instructions for common FTP clients available in another support topic.

Click Here to View an Animated Tutorial

Setting up a shortcut to your FTP site:

Click on the Start Button and select "My Network Places."

Click "Add a Network Place" in the "Network Tasks" section of the sidebar.

Select "Choose another location" and press the "Next" button.

Type in the FTP address* of your site and click the "Next" button.

Uncheck the "Log on anonymously" checkbox and type in your FTP username*.

Type in a name for your FTP shortcut and click the "Next" button.

Click "Finish" to make your new shortcut appear.* If you don't know your FTP address or username, you will need to contact your web space provider. If web space was provided with your Internet service, you can generally call their support line for assistance.

Uploading your album to your site:

Double-click the shortcut in "My Network Places" that you have previously created.

Enter your password if one is required.

If there is a folder called "www" or "public_html," double-click that folder. If no such folders exist, then you can ignore this step.

Drag and drop your album folder onto the web folder you just opened in My Network Places. (Your album folder should be on the desktop, by default. If you need help with this step, try viewing the animated tutorial.)

That's it! Your album should now be available on the web for friends and family to enjoy!

Viewing your album on the web:

If you're unsure where to find your new album on the web, you should be able to view it online by typing in your homepage URL along with the name of your album folder. That is, if your album folder is called "Vacation" and your website is at http://www.example.com/username/, then your album should be at http://www.example.com/username/Vacation/.

If you require any assistance using Web Album Generator, feel free to post a message in these support forums. If you are having problems getting FTP to work, or if you forgot your FTP username and password, please contact your web space provider for assistance.
