    Hey,
I've been using Citrus Alarm clock for a good few years now, at least 3, since it was first around I believe.
I've kept using the original version by backing it up through all my PC's and formats.. so only just discovered the new version.

I do feel like the new one is unfinished in the respect of it doing what i'd like.
I like how you could set playlists in the previous and they will play in order, so you could have albums. But i always wanted a shuffle function too.

The new one just shuffles and doesn't play in order correct?
Could this feature not be added?

Also I like being able to use Winamp and external things. Mainly so music goes to my Last.fm profile.. I guess its too much to ask to add LAst.fm functionability so i'm not that bothered but it would make it interesting.

Is the non shuffle feature considered or being worked on in next version?
And if I get the new version can I still use the old version if needed for different things? I guess I mean, will the new one disable the old or overwrite its settings (i've no clue how it works)

    Thanks for your help.
And really.. thanks for the amazing alarm clock that has kept my life going for many years! Without it i'd really not have got up and lived :P!

    Thanks
    David

And how the hell when I signed up did a picture of me appear.. how did that get there.. its freaked me out!!

    Hi David,

    Thanks for the suggestions!

An option to play the playlists in order instead of shuffling them will certainly be in the next upcoming release. It seems like an obvious oversight in retrospect, but I guess at the time I just thought everyone would want to listen to a different song each morning.

If you'd like to use Winamp instead, that feature should already be supported by clicking the "Use external media player for alarm" checkbox and making sure that Winamp is your default player. If you'd like to use the old version alongside the new one, though that's perfectly fine, too. The settings won't interfere with each other (although be careful to disable the old version's feature to mute the system!)

As for the picture, this forum uses the Gravatar service, so you must've signed up for it at some point.

Thanks for your alarm clock. I was wondering the status of an option to shut off playlist shuffle. I like to wake up to classical symphonies but having the four movements (4 files) shuffled is really undesirable. Any information you could provide would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback, Rob. The next major update will, indeed, have new playlist options, including the ability to play songs in order instead of shuffling.
