...it seems quite of few phpBB forums were hacked on 9/11 and 9/12. I was concerned when ornj.net wasn't responding, but it looks like you're up and running. Good news

Yikes! I'm glad too! The site was down for several hours yesterday because of serious electricity outages in Los Angeles (where this site is hosted), but it doesn't look like anything has been hacked.

I've been looking into several phpBB alternatives recently due to the increasing number of security vulnerabilities in phpBB, but also because phpBB is somewhat ill-suited for support forums (in terms of ease-of-use and locating existing support topics).

If anyone has recommendations for free support forum software, I'd be interested in investigating.

Not that anyone wants to use my forum :'( but I use a FREE one that can be located here http://www.webwizguide.info/web_wiz_forums/default.asp

Works ok on my server and I host it myself. if you want to look at it and see what its like go to http://www.natesplaceonline.com and click on the FORUM butoon. This forum is skinnable as well.
