    Hi Mark,

I really like WAG, have been looking for something like this for a while. It is a great tool...

See two of my albums at
    http://freepages.outdoors.rootsweb.com/~troop617/Solomons2002/
    and
    http://freepages.outdoors.rootsweb.com/~troop617/canoe2002/

I would like to see three additions though (besides the many things others have asked for )

    1. An option to include the original picture as a third viewing selection. Currently you click on the the thumbnail to view the resized album picture. I would like to then click on the Album picture and load the original (usually humongous) picture, stored in a third directory (probably without a html wrapper. Besides using WAG for web albums I have used it to generate CD(R) albums I send to friends and family and they would like to get prints which would be best from the larger images.....

    2. Relative picture addressing in album file. I recently renamed a directory with an WAG album file and pictures in it and WAG was lost.... However I true-ly appreciate that the album file is ascii text and it was easy enough to change the directory addressing.

    3. An option to control the number of thumbnails in the Thumbnail navigation bar. I like to use larger thumbnails (160x160 preserve) and 5 thumbnails is wider that the picture.... 4 would fit well.....

Again, thanks for a great tool... Kent

ps... I am a win32 programmer by trade, and am willing to help if I can...

Thanks for the suggestions, Kent. They seem reasonable enough for me.

I hadn't thought of relative addressing for the main alb file before. My main concern is that a lot of people may generate the album file to the desktop, for example, and then drag and drop it to another location. If the album were using a relative scheme, this would break the references.

with any luck, if they are trying to clear up their desktop they'll drag the folders with the images in as well, so all will be finel

Probably best not to add an option to make links relative/absolute though. That only adds complexity, for little value. Just make the program do "The Right Thing" all the time (which in this case I think is relative links - largely because there is less chance of unexpected behaviour that way - but maybe I'm just odd ).

    Good software. Thanks.
