How to place my web album on a web hosting server and link to it on my web page? (5 posts)

I have a web site already and want to put a link on a page to the web album generated. Do I need to move my web album to the FTP site? Where to put it, under the folder htdocs? and How do I refer to it in a link?

All of this can differ from web host to web host, so your best bet may be to contact your hosting's technical support services. From what you'd told me, though, you'll very likely need to put your album into the htdocs folder---and once it's uploaded you would likely reach it by going to your site's normal address and appending your album name after it. For example, if your site was at http://www.example.com/ and your album name was WeddingPhotos, then your album's address might be http://www.example.com/WeddingPhotos/

Try using an iframe code to insert it into any web page or posting.this is if you already have it uploaded to your ftp. Hope this helps.

just use a php uploader file to get ur images and later on create ur own albums with ur own pictures what u like

With that in mind it is also worth going the extra mile and make effort to categorize and name your photographs properly. Instead of DSC1345.jpg, try to give it more relevance (particularly if you are going for search engine optimization) such as product_red.jpg.
