I recently built a new computer after my old one died. I lost both of my hard drives, which is where I had my Citrus Alarm Clock activation key saved. Would I be able to get my key sent to me again?

(PS, I'm assuming you can get my email address from my user account info so I don't have to post it here; please let me know if this is not the case.)

    Thanks!

OK. Your license has been re-sent. Let me know if you need anything else.

Just went fishing through my old email archives to find my license file. I fooled myself because I have a secured text file (Locknote rocks) with most of my utility registration infos. I have my username and reg key there but the app calls for a file.

The question then is: Is it really more secure or necessary to have this info in a file? Why not simply have the user enter his name and serial?

Liking the beta so far, running on Win7 HP RTM.

Hello. Glad you're enjoying the beta!

Anyway, yes, the files are used for added security. Technically speaking, using a file isn't completely necessary---it's just that the security key is pretty long, more characters than would be convenient to type in manually, so everything is stored in a small file instead to make registering quicker and easier.
