I'm getting this error:
Media Error
The Specified device is not open or not recognized by MCI.
(MCI Error Code: 263)
I tried testing the alarm with the external player(foobar2000) and without it. The error appears both times, continuously playing the windows error message sound instead of my chosen .mp3 file. I'm using XP x64 if it matters. Any help here?

Does the file play in your media player when you double-click it? If not, there may either be a problem with that specific MP3 file, or a problem with your sound driver.
There's a version of Citrus is beta testing that doesn't use MCI for playing sound anymore. If all else fails, perhaps you could give the beta a try and let me know the results: http://beta.ornj.net/citrus-alarm-clock/

Yeah, it plays fine in my media player. At first I thought it might not work because it was a variable bitrate, but i tried many other files(some cbr) and they all gave me the error. I'll give the beta a try and post results.
Edit: Sadly, the beta won't even launch for me. It installs fine but when it launches I get the standard "Citrus Alarm Clock has encountered a problem and needs to close." error. Any ideas?

Is the beta still not working? If you're still having problems with the beta, could you post a message to the beta forums at http://beta.ornj.net/discussion/ ?
I'd just to keep the support here uncluttered from pre-release bug reports and such.
