The new forum software seems to be interesting, at least the color scheme is same as ORNJ, let's see if it suits better than phpbb did

phpBB was becoming too much of a spam magnet for me to stick with it, and I think that bbPress is finally at a stage where it's good enough as a replacement.
There might be some broken URLs between topics that I hope to fix soon, and I'll probably add back some of the nice little touches like gravatars and smilies when I have some time. In the meantime, I think the new forums are more obvious to use, easier to search, and lets me see new posts more quickly. I'll admit the template is a little sterile right now, but hopefully I'll get around to improving that, too.
And hopefully this will be the end of the spam problem, even if it means I have to pay for an Akismet license!

Posted 4 years agoYeah, I'll admit the template could use a little de-orangeification.
But so far I'm pretty impressed with bbPress. I'm a big fan of WordPress, mind you, so I'm confident it was a good choice, even though it's still in its early stages.
Anyway, I'll probably replace the template as soon as I find something better. Which shouldn't be too hard---my graphic design abilities could use some work!
