I have been playing with WAG for an hour or so and am very impressed by the simplicity and effectiveness. My compliments.

    My suggestions would be
    1) Optional Step in album creation to add a Server Side Include or some other code in either a new DIV or the Navigation DIV, allowing for customized menu and navigation tree without having to hand edit all generated pages.

    2) Seperation of thumbnails and full photos into sub directories, as main directory gets very crowded in large albums.

    2) Provide a "Use Default" or "Use Custom CSS" option in albun generation. Not a large deal to use the import command that you suggest, but it would just remove the manual step having to go in and edit multiple HTML pages.

That being said. It is still an excellent program, and my donation will be on its way shortly. If a paid version including some advanced options comes out, I will be happy purchase.

You can create a custom CSS page, select View, and stylesheet template. Modify, and click save - ok.

    Thanks for the suggestions, mvs!

As Steve pointed out, you can use a custom CSS page in the current version (though in the most recent version it's accessed through the "File" menu, not the "View" menu.)

I like the other suggestions, though, and will be adding in more flexibility features in the next major release.

Next suggestion. Show caption of each photo (not title) in thumbnail view. In larger photo albums, it is nice to highlight a few photos with captions so people know which ones are author favorites or highlights.

A lot of people have requested this; it will probably appear in the next major release.

Mark - The last post on this subject was approx 1 year ago ... Do you have plans for a new release. Ideally I'm looking to be able to change the "Web Album Generator" link at the bottom of the pages to a website of my own ... I assume to do this a donation/licence would be required and I'd happily do this if you plan on making this feature available

    Many Thanks

It's actively under development, but it's still early, so I don't have a release estimate. (I'm just one guy, after all.)

All I can say right now is stay tuned for more information.

What I would like to see is that when you click on the photo, it goes to the next photo. This is easier for my grandmother than finding the link 'next'.

I'd love to add these kinds of improvements to the navigation. Thanks for the suggestion.
