I have created a Page.PHP file but it will not pre-view in my Vista IE, as do HTM pages that I have created. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thankyou.

PHP is an interpreted language, so it must be run through a compiler to view the results. If you want to develop PHP websites on your own computer, you'll need to run your own webserver with PHP enabled. I'd suggest looking at XAMPP, which was developed for exactly this sort of purpose.

    Mark,
Thank you for your help. I shall follow up. In the meantime I have found another solution by using "Internet Options" "Advanced Tab" and setting "Active Content" to on. It works just fine. I like the editor, it is well thought through and uncluttered, unlike some others I have tried. Thank you.

Glad to hear you got it working! I didn't know about the "Active Content" option.

Just to clarify; the IE browser will not run the PHP code, but checking the "Active Content" box lets me see the pages that I am building with mixed HTML/PHP content which is what I was after. Thanks again.
