    Since I am not using the predefined settings for the web album parameters thumbnail size, number of rows, number of columns, photo size: how can I save my prefered settings so that I don't have to change the settings for every new album???

    Generally, I recommend starting a blank album, set the preferences to whatever defaults you like, and then save the album (without photos). The next time you want to start an album with those defaults, simply copy that empty album and add whatever photos you want---the settings for the colors, thumbnail size, etc. will be preserved.
