    Mark,

I rebooted my system today and when the desktop came up I got an error message that said something about the root file. Then a pop up appeared telling me to setup my first alarm. I checked the XML file in my user folder and all of my alarms are gone. What happened?

Very strange, indeed! I haven't heard of this happening before.

It's possible that the file just may have become corrupted. Whatever the cause, if it happens again, take note of the exact error message and I'll do my best to investigate.

I do plan to include a feature in an upcoming version that will let you easily import and export alarms. This would make it easier to do backups, just in case.

Thanks Mark. I found a back up that I made last month. That should get most of my alarms back.

Mark, it happened again. This may be a shot in the dark, but I think Kaspersky started to hang when it got to the root file during a weekly scan. Kas was at 50% CPU load on one of my cores so I had to restart to free it up. When the system came back up the root file was gone.

Very interesting report, thanks! It sounds like Citrus might not be releasing its lock on the settings file after its done reading it. I'll definitely look into the issue.

I'm not even going to say it. This time I had a BSOD and when I restarted the computer the OS hard drive was thrashing away. When it calmed down I rebooted. Windows came back up and the root file was gone. Kaspersky wasn't running a scan but the hard drive was running constantly when this happened last time as well. Very strange.
