    Hi Mark,

    Before reporting a small problem i would like to say i'm quite happy with your small and fast editor.
    I've used it more than any other editor mainly because of its remarkable speed and also because i like the elegant lay-out.

    Now about the glitch I encountered;
    The search and replace seems to be somewhat buggy.
    More than once it just skipped a few occurrences causing small errors.
    (version 4.52 on w98)
    Maybe it's just my bad luck,

    Looking forward to the next version (keep it fast!)

    I seem to have that same or similar problem at times. The search and replace will not function if I am "replace all" text strings on multiple pages more than once in succession. I have to uncheck "Multiple Pages", and click cancel before doing another multiple page search.

    Also, you may have done this intentionally, but once the search has found the string, the focus leaves the search dialogue, and is sent to the main window of Araneae. If this is intentional, please add an option to change it, becuase it gets very irritating at times ( ). If not, see what you can do to fix these search and replace bugs.

    Another minor bug in the search and replace...
    Occasionally, the search and replace dialogue will disappear after it has found the query string you are looking for. This can be fixed by restarting Araneae. Just a minor thing that I noticed.

    I do like araneae - small fast and useful, but...

    I have also found the search and replace to be buggy - the replace function using "search all open documents" works poorly...

    After some experimentation its seems that if it finds a document that doesn't have the search term in it seach & replace stops working. Doing another seach will work only if the "all documents" box is NOT selected. If you do this (and it finds a match) it seems to reset the search engine. Search then works OK on multiple documents until it find another document without a match... Hopefully version 5 will bring a fix

    I think I read somewhere earlier that the search & replace was totally rewritten (not to mention, the entire program!), so I think that this will be resolved in the next version

    I use araneae alot but since the search and replace in the current version across all documents is a little buggy I decided to find another tool...so I found the following program I use when I got a bulk number of pages that I need to search and replace on I have found a faster way to search and replace if you know what you are searching for to replace and it is with the tool at http://www.fauland.com/af9.htm. It is called A.F.9 Replace some bytes. It is a free tool and it helps me out when I got plenty of pages I need to search and replace stuff on.

    It's a nice tool, thanks!
