All the years that I have been using Araneae I could never figure out how to remove the temporary files. This feature never seems to highlight. Does this feature function. I would just like to know for my own peace of mind. It is no big deal I still love using Araneae, and can't wait to try the new version. Thanks, swampy

    Hi Swampy,

That menu item will be disabled if there are no temporary files to delete.

Temporary files are created when you try to view a page without saving it first. You can identify them by the tilde '~' in the filename. Although these files are automatically deleted when you exit Araneae, some people like to delete them while they're working.

Araneae 5 will manage these files a little more intelligently, so it probably won't have the 'delete temporary files' item. I think it was more confusing than helpful, anyway.

actually, I like the Delete Temporay Files feature. I don't know why, but I somehow find it handy. BTW, I've noticed that Araneae is the only editor I've found that allows you to preview without saving. Good job!
